2019 Summer League JV Skills Clinic

A series of 45 minute clinics on Serving, Attacking, Setting, and Forearm Passing/Serve Receive will take place on the Thursdays of Summer League prior to that evening's first match.  Learn why simple is better than complex.  Understand the physics and bio-mechanics of each of these skills.  In the Serving Sessions develop the correct fundamentals of the armswing and understand the physics involved;   develop a roundhouse or torque serve as a more effective alternative to an underhand serve and just as easy to learn; learn the technique for an effective and efficient jump float serve.  In the Attacking Session develop the correct approach footwork, jump and armswing mechanics.  Learn how to create the desired topspin on the spike.  In the Setting Session develop the correct ball shaped hands i contacting the ball as well as developing the setter's touch.  Differentiate between setting and first team contact using hand and finger action.  In the Forearm Passing/Serve Receive Session learn the keys to playing the ball with the arms as well as the critical keys in serve receive.
